Baked Apples with Fruit and Nut Filling

Serves 2
2 large Bramley apples
25g (1oz) ready to eat tropical fruit mix
10ml (2 tsp) clear honey
2.5mlsp (1/2 tsp) ground cinnamon
25g (1oz) hazelnuts, chopped
5mlsp (1tsp) lemon juice

Preparation and cooking times
Prep. 5 mins. Cook 30-40 mins


Mix the chopped fruit and nuts with the honey and cinnamon in a small bowl.

Core the apples and place in a baking dish with the core holes vertical. Coat each core hole with lemon juice to prevent it from browning.

Spoon the fruit and nut mixture into each core hole, filling generously and then bake in a 200C/400F/Gas 6 oven for 30-40 minutes.
